Salsa Fresca

This vibrant salsa comes together in seconds using the food processor.

Yields

about 1½ cups


Ingredients

1    small garlic clove, peeled
1    small jalapeño pepper, seeded,
      cut into 1-inch pieces
1    scallion, trimmed, cut in
      1-inch pieces
1    pint grape tomatoes
¼   cup fresh
      cilantro leaves
1    teaspoon fresh lime juice
½   to ¾ teaspoon kosher salt

Instructions

1. Insert the universal blade into the Cuisinart® 7-Cup or 9 Cup Food Processor. With the unit running, drop the garlic and jalapeño through the feed tube to finely chop. Scrape the work bowl.
2. Add the remaining ingredients and pulse to roughly chop, about 7 to 8 pulses.
3. Strain any excess liquid before serving. Taste and adjust seasoning according to preference.
