12 slices bread, crusts removed and cubed
12 slices crisply cooked bacon, crumbled
1/2 red pepper, chopped
4 cups grated cheddar cheese
6 eggs
3 cups milk
1/2 tsp. salt
1/4 tsp black pepper


Place half of cubed bread on bottom of greased 13x9x2 in baking dish.
Cover bread with half the bacon, red pepper and cheese.
Repeat layers again.
In a small bowl, beat together eggs, milk and seasonings.
Pour over bread mixture.
Let strand in refrigerator for a least 3 hours or overnight before baking.
Bake, uncovered, at 350 degrees for 45-55 minutes or until knife inserted in center comes out clean.
Let stand 10 mins.
Makes 8-10 servings.
