Oyster Dressing

Traditional Southern Oyster dressing served at holiday meals

Ingredients

2/3 cup melted butter 1 cup chopped onion 2 cups chopped celery 2 tsp. salt 1/2 tsp. pepper 1 1/2 tsp. sage 1/2 tsp. poultry seasoning 1 1/3 cup milk 1 1/4 cup turkey or chicken broth 2 eggs, slightly beaten 8 ounces oysters 3 1/2 cups dry bread crumbs 3 1/2 cups crumbled cornbread

Instructions

Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Saute onions and celery in butter. Add other ingredients and toss to blend. Stuff loosely in turkey or bake alone in baking dish for about 45 minutes or until lightly browned.
