Cranberry Cherry Relish


1 tab. unsalted butter 1 1" piece of fresh ginger 1/2 tea. cinnamon 1/4 cup Amaretto 1 15 oz. bag of fresh or frozen cranberries 1 10oz. bag of frozen cherries 1/4 cup sugar 1/2 cup of water/ or orange juice

Melt butter, add ginger and cinnamon. Add Amaretto, cook until thick and reduced by half. Add cranberries, cherries sugar and 1/2 cup of water or orange juice, cover and bring to a boil. Reduce heat and simmer until cranberries burst, 20, 25 min. Chill and serve
