Blueberry Sauce

This sauce goes well over vanilla ice cream, buttermilk waffles or pancakes.

Ingredients

Blueberry sauce: 1 pint of fresh blueberries, divided 2-3 strips of lemon rind from one lemon 2 teaspoon of freshly squeezed lemon juice ⅓-½ cup of granulated sugar, depending on sweetness of your blueberries.

Instructions

Place all ingredients and 1 cup of blueberries in a small saucepan and cook over low heat for about 10 minutes. Remove from heat. Using tongs remove lemon rind strips. Add reserved blueberries, mix and set aside.
