BBQ Meatballs

This has been a long time family favorite, passed down from my grandmother."


1-1/2 lbs. grd. beef
1/2 oatmeal
1/2 c. finely chopped onion
1/2 c. milk
2-1/2 t. salt
1/8 t. pepper
flour to coat meatballs
2 T. Canola oil
28 oz. can chopped tomatoes
4 T. Worchestershire sauce
4 T. cider vinegar
4 T. sugar
2 t. chili powder
1 lb. spaghetti prepared according to package directions


Mix thoroughly beef, oats, 2 T. onion, milk, 1-1/2 t. salt, & pepper. Shape into 12 meatballs. Roll in flour. Brown meatballs in 2 T oil. Drain on paper towels. Remove excess oil from pan. Brown onions. Add remaining ingredients and meatballs to pan. Cover and simmer for 20 minutes. Serve with prepared spaghetti.
