1 dish meal on an old recipe that even my kids will eat. Hearty gravy and lots of onions make this liver tender, yet sweet. You probably did not even know it was liver, much less good for you!!!
2 cans Campbells Golden Mushroom Soup
1 can Consume Beef Broth
2 large Vadella Onions (sliced into rings)
1 lb. Calf Liver
1 c. flour, salted and peppered (blend in Cuisinart)
1 egg, beaten
1 c. milk
1 c. canola oil

Rinse liver and pat dry. Combine milk and egg in Cuisinart, then pour into a shallow bowl for dipping. Dip liver pieces in milk/egg mixture, then seasoned flour mixture. Brown floured pieces of liver in oil on both sides until brown (approx. 3 min per side). Place fried liver pieces in 8" by 14" pyrex pan. Cover liver pieces with 1 can of Golden Mushroom Soup, layer onion rings on top. Cover onions with last can of Golden Mushroom Soup, then pour can of consume over entire disk.
Bake at 350 for 1.5 hrs, or until sauce thickens.
Serve with rice, mashed potatoes or egg noodles (my favorite is buttered egg noodles).
