Great Marinated Chicken

Moist chicken that can be done on the grill or the oven. makes great leftovers




4 lbs chicken with skin 1 cup Japanese Soy Sauce 1 cup dry White Wine 3 or 4 garlic petals – minced/pressed 1 medium onion – chopped coarsely 2 or 3 TBLS Dark Molasses 1 large Orange – skin/pith removed – sliced coarsely

  1. Mix all ingredients so that molasses is dissolved completely.
  2. Add Chicken and marinate for 1 to 4 hours in refrigerator
  3. Cook over mesquite, charcoal or in the oven for about 45 minutes, turning every 5 minutes.
  4. The marinade can be used for basting, as it has a very high salt and alcohol content that inhibits bacterial growth.
