We like to have Friday Night Pizza Night at my house. It is an easy recipe to prepare with your kids. My 6 year old and 19 month old help me put the toppings on the pizza. I like making my own pizza dough, but a pre-made pizza dough works fine too!
1 package of premade pizza or 1 recipe of your favorite pizza dough
2 TBSP of extra virgin olive oil, divided
4 oz of sliced mushrooms
One 6 oz. can of tomato paste
2 cups of shredded Mozzarella cheese
Half of a 5 oz. Columbus Pepperoni Package, or your favorite pepperoni
One 4.25 oz can of sliced black olives
½ cup of shredded Parmesan cheese
5 fresh basil leaves, chiffonade or torn into small pieces

1. Preheat oven to 450 degrees.
2. Heat 1 TBSP of oil on a skillet pan over medium high heat. Add mushrooms and sprinkle with salt. Saute mushrooms until browned. Set aside.
3. Prepare dough to fit your pizza pan. Using a cooking brush, brush olive oil around the edge of the pizza dough. Spread tomato paste over pizza dough. Follow with mozzarella cheese, pepperoni, sauteed mushrooms and then olives. Sprinkle Parmesan Cheese and basil.
4. Place on top oven rack. Bake for 10-12 minutes. Check at 10 minutes. Pizza is ready when it has a nice golden crust and cheese has browned on top. (You can add your favorite toppings to make it to your taste.)
