Sweet & Savory Pork Chops
INGREDIENTS
4 boneless pork chops about ½” thick
1 medium granny smith apple (cored, peeled and sliced thin)
½ tsp. Ginger
¼ tsp. Ground black pepper
2 tsp. Soy sauce
1 tsp. Olive oil
1/3 c. white wine
1 tbsp. Honey
Instructions
Place the pork chops in a large zip-top bag along with the ginger, pepper and soy sauce. Close bag and mix chops around until completely coated in mixture. Heat the olive oil over medium-high heat in a skillet just large enough to fit all the pork chops in. Mix honey into the white wine and set aside. Add pork chops to the skillet and cook for about 3 minutes and then turn and cook for about 2 minutes more. Deglaze the pan with the wine and add the apple slices. Lower heat to medium low and simmer for about 6 minutes or until apples are tender and liquid is reduced to about half. Remove from heat and serve as a stand-alone meat or over white rice.
