Polish Meatballs


1 lb. lean ground beef *
1/2 lb. ground pork sausage *
1/2 of a medium sized onion chopped fine
1 egg
1/4 c warm milk
1/2 c break crumbs (I like to use panko)
1/2 tsp. salt
fresh grind of pepper
1 or 2 15 oz. cans of stewed tomatoes (with tomatoes chopped smaller)**
1 T oil


Mix the first 8 items together in a large bowl and make into small to medium size meatballs.

In a large skillet over medium heat add oil and brown meatballs on all sides. Add tomatoes cover and simmer for 15 minutes. Delicious served with steamed rice.

* I have used ground turkey and turkey sausage in place of beef and pork

** If you like more sauce use two cans if not one can.
