Great cookie for tea time.
Yields
about 36 - 40 cookies
Ingredients
Stick and a half of butter
¾ cups of sugar
1 teaspoon of baking powder
Pinch of salt
One large egg
1 teaspoon of vanilla
2½ cups of all-purpose flour
½ teaspoon of ground cardamom
1 teaspoon of ginger
1teaspoon of cinnamon
½ teaspoon of ground cloves
2 tablespoon of brewed chai tea

Instructions
Cream together butter, sugar, baking powder, and salt with a hand mixer. Beat egg and vanilla and chai tea. Add spices and one cup of flour and beat with hand mixer. Stir in the remaining flour with a wooden spoon. Cover and chill dough for one hour. Roll half the dough at a time to about ⅛ inch thick. (Can be made thicker if you like) Use a pleasing shaped cookie cutter, place on an ungreased cookie sheet. Bake in a 375 oven for 8-10 minutes. Cool on a wire rack. Frosted cookies are optional.
