A started baking a cookie recipe I found in a community newspaper, then realized they had goofed - mentioned ingredients in the directions that weren't listed with the ingredients and vice versa, so I guessed on those and ended up adding other things to come up with a new family favorite.
½ c honey
1 egg, lightly beaten
¾ c brown sugar
1 t vanilla
1¼ c melted butter
1½ c ea - chips, raisins, banana, coconut
1½ c flour
3 c oats
1 t ea - baking soda, cinnamon, clove

In large bowl, combine first 5 ingredients until smooth. Add the chips, etc. Combine the flour with the spices and salt to taste. Add to the bowl along with the oats. Spoon onto greased baking sheet and bake at 350 for 17".
