Topping and base:
1 French Vanilla Cake Mix
⅓ cup melted margarine
1 - 12 ounce jar of apricot preserves
1 - 8 ounce package light cream cheese
½ cup sugar
½ teaspoon vanilla

Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
spray a 9x13 pan with non stick spray.
Combine cake mix, margarine, and egg. Mix with a fork until crumbly.
Gently spoon 1½ cups into a small bowl and set aside for topping. Press remaining crumbs in bottom of pan. Bake for 10 minutes.
Spread preserves evenly over crust when it cools a little. In a small bowl combine cream cheese, sugar, vanilla, and egg, beat until smooth. Spread evenly over preserves.Sprinkle reserved cake mix mixture over cream cheese layer.Bake for 25 to 30 minutes or until topping is golden brown. Chill before serving. Store in fridge.
