Banana-Carob Smoothie

A delicious meal replacement or between meal treat. Carob powder tastes a little like chocolate, but lacks caffeine. It is naturally sweet, nutritious, and rich in B vitamins.

Ingredients

1 ripe banana 2 1/2 cups milk 2 tablespoons carob powder* 3 tablespoons egg white, whey or other protein powder* 1 teaspoon sugar, honey or equivalent sweeetener such as Truvia Serves two.

Contains a meal's worth of protein, also potasssium, B vitamins, calcium, and many other nutrients.

Instructions

Put all ingredients in blender. Blend. Serve over ice, if desired. Great for breakfast, lunch or snack. May be good for baby too. *Carob and protein powder are available in health or vitamin stores.
