This is one of my favorite breakfast delights. Baked french toast warms the tummy and heart. It is filling and satisfying. It's a step up from regular French toast because it has bonus ingredients such as apricot and crasins and brown sugar.
½ loaf French bread
1 cup milk
1 teaspoon cinnamon
¼ teaspoon nutmeg
¼ cup brown sugar
¼ cup craisins
¼ cup chopped dried apricots ( or fresh)
¼ cup butter
Real maple syrup
contains, dairy, protein, fruit. great start to any day
Butter 9 inch baking dish.
Whisk eggs, milk, cinnamon, nutmeg and brown sugar and honey in baking dish.
Break / slice french bread into mixture.
Add crasins and apricots.
let stand , to soak together for ten minutes.
Bake @325 for about half hour or til top. Is golden brown and liquid baked.
Serve topped with your choice of butter, maple syrup, honey or/and apricot preserves.I
