Biscuit Bacon Slices

These are a delicious breakfast treat!




2 cups flour 3 teaspoon baking powder ½ teaspoon salt ¼ cup shortening ¾ - 1 cup milk ¼ cup butter ½ cup chopped crisp bacon

Sift flour, baking powder, salt; cut in shortening with 2 knives or pastry blender. Add enough milk to make soft dough. Roll dough ¼" thick. Cream ¼ cup butter; add ½ cup chopped crisp bacon; spread on dough. Roll up jelly-roll fashion; cut in 1" slices. Place in greased muffin pans; bake in hot oven (425°) 15 min. Serve hot.
