Biscuit Bacon Slices

These are a delicious breakfast treat!


2 cups flour 3 tsp baking powder 1/2 tsp salt 1/4 cup shortening 3/4 - 1 cup milk 1/4 cup butter 1/2 cup chopped crisp bacon

Sift flour, baking powder, salt; cut in shortening with 2 knives or pastry blender. Add enough milk to make soft dough. Roll dough 1/4" thick. Cream 1/4 cup butter; add 1/2 cup chopped crisp bacon; spread on dough. Roll up jelly-roll fashion; cut in 1" slices. Place in greased muffin pans; bake in hot oven (425°) 15 min. Serve hot.
