1 cup sifted unbleached flour
¼ cup white sugar
¾ teaspoon baking powder
½ teaspoon salt
1 egg, beaten
1 cup beer
2 tablespoons butter, melted
2 tablespoons of Marmite
1 scallion finely chopped

1. Combine all dry ingredients in a bowl.
2. Dissolve Marmite in melted Butter. When mixed, add Beer and then egg and mix well.
3. Add to dry ingredients and mix well. There should be no lumps.
4. Preheat griddle/pan, add a little oil to griddle/pan and ladle out batter. Sprinkle with scallions. When bubbles appear on pancake, flip and finish cooking. Store cooked pancakes in warm oven and serve with Hoisin sauce.
