Candied Pecans

These are great also great as a snack or on a spinach salad.




2 cups of toasted Pecans 3 Tbsp of Brown Sugar 2 Tbsp of water 2 Tbsp of butter 1 Tbsp of granulated sugar ½ teaspoon. of kosher salt ⅛ teaspoon of cayenne pepper

Toast the pecans in the oven at 350 degrees (keep an eye on them to ensure they don't burn). Meanwhile, place water, butter and brown sugar in a frying pan over low-medium heat until melted. Add pecans to pan and mix until pecans have absorbed all of the liquid. Combine the granulated sugar, salt and cayenne pepper in a large bowl. Add pecans (but leave any remaining glaze in the pan) and toss until pecans are coated with sugar mixture. Return the pecans into a baking sheet and cook in oven for an additional 5-7 minutes. Place pecans in an airtight glass jar.
