Basic Hummus

Hummus is healthy and can be used as a dip or spread on a sandwich instead of mayonnaise."


1 can Garbanzo beans
1 tbls tahini paste
1/2 lemon
good quality olive oil


Place in mini Cuisinart:
Drained can of Hummus
Tahini paste, lemon, salt and pepper in Cuisinart and grind until smooth, adding olive oil a little at a time until consistency is achieved. You can add water to thin. Add any fresh or dried herbs that you have on hand. You can change the recipe by adding fresh or bottled red peppers or sundried tomatoes
