Blue Cheese Bacon Shrimp

Jane's 2 cheese shrimp
Jumbo shrimp filled with cream cheese, blue cheese, wrapped with bacon and deep fried."


12 ounces jumbo shrimp 21-25 count (about 18 shrimp)
3 ounces cream cheese
2 ounces blue cheese crumbles (1/2 cup)
9 slices bacon cut in half the short way
Tabasco sauce to taste
1 teaspoon dill weed


Clean and devein shrimp. Make a pocket in the shrimp when you are deveining them about one inch long.

Put blue cheese crumbles in a small bowl.

Fill pockets with a rounded teaspoon of cream cheese, turn shrimp and dip cream cheese side down into the blue cheese crumbles. The blue cheese will stick to the cream cheese.

Wrap a bacon slice around the shrimp, secure with a toothpick.

Arrange shrimp on a big plate, sprinkle Tabasco sauce over all, turn and sprinkle Tabasco sauce on the other side.
sprinkle dill weed over all.

Deep fry 4 to 5 shrimp at a time at 375 degrees for about 4 minutes, or until golden brown and crispy.

Dips can be prepared ranch, blue cheese, or honey mustard
