Mixed Grain Breakfast Porridge

A hearty, healthy, and filling way to start the day


Makes about 6 cups


1     cup steel-cut oats (not quick cooking)
½    cup short-grain brown rice
½    cup quinoa 2
⁄3    cup chopped unsalted pecans
²⁄³   cup dried fruit
¼    cup unsweetened shredded coconut
2     cinnamon sticks
2     to 4 tablespoons pure maple syrup
2     tablespoons coconut oil
2     pinches ground nutmeg
       pinch kosher salt
5     cups water

1. Put all of the ingredients into the cooking pot
of the Cuisinart® Multicooker. Secure the lid
and select Rice/Grains. Set the pressure to
High, set the time for 10 minutes, and press
Start. When the tone sounds, allow pressure
to release naturally.
2. Once pressure is completely released, open
the lid and remove the cinnamon sticks.
3. Stir to combine and serve immediately.
