A 5-speed hand mixer - it uses beaters and a whisk to mix, cream and whip. It is not an immersion or hand blender: it can't blend soup in a pot or crush ice. For immersion blending, see the Cuisinart Smart Stick line.

Unplug the mixer, then push each beater firmly straight up into its socket until it clicks and stops - a partly inserted beater can work its way out under load. The sockets aren't always interchangeable: if one beater won't seat, try it in the other opening rather than forcing it. Tug gently to confirm both are locked before plugging in, and use the eject button to release rather than pulling.

At 200 watts across 5 speeds it's built for batters, frostings, whipped cream and cookie dough rather than stiff yeast bread dough.
