Ingredients

3cooker cups brown rice (use your favorite grain size)water (to the 3-cup brown rice marking in cooking pot)1bay leaf2cups canned black beans, drained and rinsed¼cup fresh parsley, chopped1medium-large onion, chopped2cups chopped tomatoes½teaspoon sea salt¼teaspoon freshly ground black pepper2tablespoons fresh lime juice1teaspoon chili powder

Preparation

Put the rice, water and bay leaf in the cooking pot of the Cuisinart® Rice Plus™ Multi-Cooker. Select the Brown Rice function and press Start. Once the audible tone has sounded to indicate the end of cooking, open the lid and add the remaining ingredients; toss to combine. Adjust seasonings and serve immediately.
