Makes 2 panini
4 slices sandwich bread
2 tablespoons fig jam
⅔ cup shredded sharp Cheddar (about 3 ounces)
Olive oil, for spraying or brushing
1. Turn on the Cuisinart® Griddler®. Select Griddle and set to 425°F.
2. Lay the bread on a clean work surface. Divide and spread the jam evenly between two of the slices of bread, and then divide the shredded cheese evenly between the two slices of bread. Top each with a slice of bread. Evenly and liberally coat the outer sides of the bread with olive oil.
3. Place the oiled sandwiches onto the bottom griddle plate. Close the Griddler®, and then set the count-up timer to 4 minutes.
4. Once the sandwiches are cooked, transfer to a cutting board. Allow to cool for a minute before halving and serving.
