Ingredients
- 6 ounces white tuna, drained well
- ¼ cup finely chopped celery
- ¼ cup finely chopped green or red bell pepper
- 2 tablespoons finely chopped red onion
- ¼ cup low-fat mayonnaise
- 4 teaspoons unsalted butter, softened
- 3 ounces low-fat Swiss cheese
Preparation
- Place tuna in a medium bowl. Break up clumps with a fork. Add celery, bell pepper, onion, and mayonnaise. Stir to combine.
- Spread one teaspoon butter on one side of each piece of bread. Lay 2 slices of bread buttered side down. Divide tuna mixture evenly between the two slices of bread and spread evenly. Top each with half the cheese, then the two remaining slices of bread, buttered side up.
- Preheat the Cuisinart™ Griddler™ fitted with the griddle plates to 375°F. When hot, arrange the sandwiches evenly on the bottom griddle plate. Close Griddler and apply light pressure.
- Cook sandwiches until golden and toasty and cheese in melted, about 4 to 5 minutes.
