Frequently Asked Questions

Opens all standard-size cans, from short tuna cans to tall soup cans. The magnet holds steel lids securely, but aluminum lids won't stick to it. Pull-tab, peel-off and rimless cans open without a can opener. If a pull tab is broken or rim is dented, start the blade just past the dent or try to open the can from the other end.

Raise the lever and place the can under the guide posts so the Power Cut® blade sits just inside the rim. Press the lever down until the blade pierces the lid, then let go. It cuts on its own and stops automatically. For short cans like tuna, keep the can snug against the guide posts as you lower the lever.

Unplug the can opener, then lift the lever and pull it toward you to remove it. The blade is sharp, so handle with care. Wash it in warm, soapy water but do not submerge fully, then dry it well. Wipe the body of the can opener with a damp cloth. To reattach, hold the lever in the raised position and push it straight back until it's fully seated.
