Boardwalk Berry Pie

Makes 2 servings

Berry pie a la mode blended into one delectable dessert.

Ingredients

  • 1 frozen pie shell
  • ½ cup heavy cream
  • ¼ cup whole milk
  • 3 tablespoons granulated sugar
  • 1 teaspoon pure vanilla extract
  • Pinch salt
  • 2 tablespoons frozen mixed berries

Preparation

  1. In a small bowl, whisk all ingredients together, and then pour into a Dessert Cup and cover.
  2. Place in the freezer on a level surface. Freeze for at least 24 hours.
  3. Bake frozen pie shell as instructed on packaging. Let cool completely then crumble in to small pieces.
  4. When ready to process ice cream, remove from the freezer, and then let sit at room temperature for about 10 minutes.
  5. Assemble Mixing Assembly and then Power Handle.
  6. Select Ice Cream with the Preset Dial and process twice. Disassemble and add the frozen berries and a small handful of crumbled pie crust, about 1 tablespoon. Reassemble, select Mix Ins with the Preset Dial, and blend once or twice until desired consistency is achieved.

Note: Store remaining pie shell crumbs in an air tight container in the refrigerator for up to one week. These crumbs can be used as an additional topping for your ice cream or sweet treats.
