Ingredients

  • 1 stick (¼ lb) unsalted butter
  • 2 squares unsweetened chocolate
  • ½ cup granulated sugar
  • ½ cup light brown sugar
  • 2 large eggs
  • ½ teaspoon vanilla
  • ⅓ cup all-purpose flour
  • ½ teaspoon salt
  • ½ cup chocolate chips
  • ½ cup chopped walnuts

Preparation

  1. Preheat the Cuisinart Convection Toaster Oven Broiler to 325°F on Bake setting.
  2. Lightly coat an 8-inch baking pan with cooking spray.
  3. Place butter and unsweetened chocolate in Cuisinart® MultiClad 2¾ quart sauce pan. Using low heat, melt butter and stir until chocolate and butter are completely melted. Remove from heat, let stand 5 minutes.
  4. Stir in sugars, eggs and vanilla; stir the mixture until smooth with a wooden spoon. Add flour and salt; stir to blend. Stir in chocolate chips and walnuts. Transfer to prepared pan.
  5. Bake the brownies in 325°F oven for about 35 minutes. Cool on a rack. When completely cool, cut into squares.
