Simply stated, an Americano is an espresso with extra hot water. It’s a great halfway point between the assertive favor of an espresso and a full cup of coffee.
Ingredients
- Ground espresso for a double shot
- ⅔ to ¾ cup hot water
Preparation
- Brew a double espresso into a heatproof mug.
- If using the EM-160, turn the Steam/Hot Water Knob to the ON position
- Using the Steam/Hot Water Wand, brew hot water on top of the espresso.
- Serve immediately.
