Strawberry Matcha Swirl

Ingredients

  • 1 tablespoon matcha powder
  • 1 tablespoon hot water
  • ¼ cup whole milk
  • 2 tablespoons granulated sugar
  • ¼ teaspoon kosher salt
  • ½ cup heavy cream
  • 1 tablespoon strawberry jam

Preparation

  1. In a small bowl, whisk together the matcha and hot water to form a paste.
  2. Add the milk, sugar, and salt to the matcha paste. Whisk until the sugar is dissolved. Stir in the heavy cream, and then pour into a dessert cup and cover. 
  3. Place in the freezer on a level surface. Freeze for at least 24 hours. 
  4. When ready to process, remove from the freezer, and then let sit at room temperature for about 10 minutes. 
  5. Attach the dessert cup to the Mixing Assembly and then attach the Power Handle. 
  6. Select Ice Cream, and press the power button to process to desired consistency.
  7. Remove the lid and add the jam. Reassemble the unit, and then select Mix-Ins. Press the power button to incorporate the jam. Serve immediately.
