Goey Chocolate Caramel Pie


Gooey chocolate pie for all chocolate lovers.



2 cups light brown sugar
1 cup water
1 tablespoon butter
1 cup dark chocolate chips
3/4 cup all purpose flour
3/4 cup milk
3 egg yolks
1 teaspoon vanillia extract
1 9" baked pie crust
1 cup pecan halves


In a medium saucepan, bring brown sugar, water, and butter to a boil over medium-high heat; cook 3 to five minutes, stirring occasionally. In a medium bowl combine flour, milk, and egg yolks; mix well. Slowly stir flour mixture into boiling sugar, water, and butter mixture, stir in dark chocolate chips, stir constantly for 3 to 5 minutes until well blended. Remove from heat, stir in vanilla and let cool 3 to 5 minutes. Pour into baked pie shell garnish with pecans. let cool then refrigeratefor at least 8 hours. Top with your favorite topping whipped cream or ice cream sprinkled with cocoa or chocolate sauce.
