Dolly Parton Meatballs

" Appetizer meatballs that everyone will love! They will be gone in a flash, so make plenty."

2 lb ground beef
1/4 cup mustard
1/4 cup ketchup
2 large eggs
Bread crumbs (at least 1 cup)
12 oz. jar chili sauce
12 oz. jar grape jelly

Mix first five ingredients well, adding more bread crumbs a little at a time as needed to get the right consistency for meatballs. (or just start with your own favorite meatball recipe).
Shape into 3/4 inch balls and fry until browned and cooked through. Remove from heat and drain on paper towels.

Meatballs can be frozen and then thawed/heated on game day.

To prepare the sauce? Easy. Just dump the whole jar of chili sauce and the whole jar of grape jelly in a microwave safe bowl, cook on high power for a minute at a time, stirring after every minute, until ingredients are well blended. Pour the sauce over the heated meatballs, stir to coat, and serve from a chafing dish with toothpicks. The easiest make-ahead appetizer recipe EVER!
