Start with one chicken approx. 2 to 3 lbs. place chicken in 8 to 10 quart soup pan. Add water to cover half way. Add 2-3 carrots cut into fourths, 2 stalks of celery cut up, 2 onions cut up, salt & pepper to taste. Cook on high till it comes to a boil. Cover and simmer for 2 hrs. Remove chicken from broth and remove skin and bones. Add chicken back in and add soup starter. Bring to a boil again reduce heat to simmer cook approx. 1 to 2 hrs. Can also add other vegetables if desired or rice or noodles.
