2½ cups chicken broth
1½ cup water
2 cups milk
1 pound package broccoli
flour and cold water (to thicken)
14 ounces American cheese

Combine the chicken broth, water and milk in large stock pot and bring to a boil.
Add broccoli and cook about 7 minutes. Add four and water (combined)to thicken. Add cheese. Cook until melted. Add pepper to taste, if desired.
