easy, inexpensive and good. starchy and thick, tomato and onion dish
1-5oz box vermicelli
1-14 1/2 can diced tomatoes
1/4-medium yellow onion chopped
2 tbls-vegetable oil
family recipe so use the information on the can and box
in a medium sauce pan add the oil and the onion and begin to heat.
When the pan is hot and the onions are cooking add the vermicelli and chop and stir together with a wooden spoon until the vermicelli is coated with oil and hot.
now add the can tomatoes and one can of water.
cook and stir occasionally for about 15 min.
when the vermicelli is tender and has absorbed most of the water turn off the stove and let stand for about 10 min.
