Jello-Pineapple Salad

Mom always had this dish when company came. The secret ingredient is horseradish. Gives it a bite. She liked making recipes like this that she could make ahead of time and not be rushed when company arrived.




1 package lemon jello 1 package lime jello 2 cups water 1 pint cottage cheese 1 cup mayonnaise 1 cup evaporated milk 2 Tablespoons horseradish 1 #2 can crushed pineapple, drained ¾ cup nuts

Dissolve one package each lemon and lime jello in 2 cups of very hot water. Chill until partly set. Cream 1 pint cottage cheese. Add to cottage cheese, 1 cup mayonnaise and 1 cup evaporated milk and 2 Tablespoons horseradish. Mix with partly set jello until reasonably smooth. Fold in one #2 can crushed pineapple, drained and ¾ cups chopped nuts. Pour into mold and chill overnight.
