Broccoli with Cheddar Sauce

This Cheddar sauce is a quick way to dress up your vegetables; here broccoli and Cheddar are the classic combination.


Makes 4 servings


4     cups broccoli florets
¼    cup water
⅓   cup milk (whole or reduced fat)
3    ounces shredded Cheddar
3    ounces shredded Monterey Jack
4    ounces cream cheese, cut into 4 pieces
      Pinch freshly ground black pepper

1. Put the broccoli and water into a microwave-safe bowl, cover and place in the Cuisinart® 3-in-1 Microwave AirFryer Oven. Select Fresh Veggie (A-2) for 16 ounces and press Start. Once cooked, remove, drain and reserve.
2. Place milk, cheeses and pepper into a large glass measuring cup or other microwave-safe, 4-cup bowl. Cover and place in oven. Select Microwave, set time and temperature for 6 minutes on High (10P), and press Start. Pause after 3 minutes to stir and continue cooking.
3. Stir sauce, pour over reserved broccoli and serve.
