Great Turkey side dish.
1 lb. sausage (link) 1 cup diced bacon 1 large chopped onion 1 cup chopped celery 1/2 lb. sliced mushrooms 2 diced apples 1 cup chopped parsley 1 tsp. each of sage and thyme 1 loaf (1 lb) firm white bread or stuffing mix 2 cups chicken broth salt and pepper to taste

In a large skillet, fry sausage and bacon until crisp and brown. Remove sausage and cut into 1" pieces. Replace in skillet and add onion, celery, mushrooms, apples, parsley and herbs. Saute, stirring occasionally for 5 minutes. Stir in bread crumbs and chicken broth. Season with salt and pepper. Pour into bowl, cover and cool. Grease pan (2 qt) put in over for 1 hour.
