A favorite for dressing pasta, and also wonderful on steamed potatoes and vegetables. You can vary your pesto by using other herbs such as cilantro, mint or parsley and by using other nuts such as almonds, pecans or walnuts.
Add a roasted red pepper and 1 teaspoon of herbes de Provence for a variation.
This is a slightly cheesier version of the standard pesto, so adjust the amount of cheese if desired. Try any combination of herbs or nuts in this recipe.

Coconut milk beverage, normally found in a carton, is much lighter than traditional coconut milk. Substitute 2/3 cup of the canned version for a creamier, richer smoothie.
This icing is great for decorating sugar cookies or cakes. You can use food coloring to color it or extracts to flavor it.
