Maple-Bacon Butter

Maple-Bacon Butter

Packed with the best flavors of breakfast, this butter is great for sweet foods such as waffles, or for savory items such as biscuits or even stirred into a soup like our Root Vegetable Soup (page 30).


  • 8tablespoons (1 stick) unsalted
  • good quality butter, like Plugra or
  • Kerrygold, room temperature
  • 2slices bacon, diced and cooked
  • through (about 2 tablespoons
  • bacon crumbles)
  • 2teaspoons pure maple syrup


  1. 1. Insert the chopping blade into the work bowl of the food processor. Put the butter into the
  2. work bowl. Pulse to soften, and then add the remaining ingredients. Pulse to combine,
  3. stopping to scrape down as necessary. Once nicely mixed, process on Low for 5 seconds to
  4. fully combine.
  5. 2. Remove and transfer to a piece of parchment paper. Form into a log, wrap well in the
  6. parchment, then cover fully with plastic wrap. Chill until firm.
