This version is much lower in fat than traditional blue cheese dressings. Try it as a dip for celery the next time you serve buffalo-style wings.

Ingredients

1 garlic clove, peeled and chopped½ounce shallot, peeled and chopped1cup nonfat yogurt½cup buttermilk1⁄3cup mayonnaise, reduced fat¾ teaspoon dry mustard½ teaspoon Worcestershire sauce¼ teaspoon white pepper3 ounces crumbled blue cheesedash Tabasco® or other hot sauce – to taste

Preparation

Insert the mixing beaters into the Cuisinart® Hand Mixer. Put all ingredients into a mixing bowl and mix together on speed 3 for about 45 seconds to 1 minute until completely homogenous. Taste and adjust seasoning accordingly. Let stand for 30 minutes before using to allow flavors to develop. Cover and refrigerate all unused portions. Dressing will keep for 1 week.
