Mushroom Gravy

This mushroom side dish/gravy is delicious on turkey, on stuffing, on mashed potatos or as a vegetable.




½ lb. sliced mushrooms 1 stalk celery - chopped 1 small onion - chopped 1 tblspn flour ½ stick butter 3 tblspns Sour Cream Salt & Pepper

Put mushrooms in pot with enough water to cover - cook about 20 minutes- While waiting for mushrooms to cook, saute celery & onions in butter - Add celery & onions to mushrooms & liquid in pot - simmer for 5 minutes Take ½ of the liquid and strain it into a cup, let it cool, add sour cream to the cooled liquid and mix well Add liquid and sour cream mixture back into pot, stir in flour then salt and pepper to taste.
