This salad dressing was born of necessity on Christmas Day 2010. We switched from pre-made dressing containing both sugar and MSG. Knowing what my Doug loves (mustard and spice over sweet), we collaborated to make up a non-sugar, non-chemical dressing suitable for salads, sandwiches and as a meat marinade.
6 teaspoons extra virgin olive oil
2 teaspoons white wine vinegar
½ teaspoon garlic powder
½ teaspoon onion powder
¼ teaspoon black pepper
½ teaspoon Dijon mustard
a pinch of salt
juice from one thin slice of lemon

Mix all ingredients in a screw top jar or whisk in a metal bowl.
