Ham, Turkey, and Swiss Pita Pocket

Some days, I want more than a snack, but less than a full meal. If I happen to have some leftover sandwich ingredients and a couple of pita pockets lying around, I'll put together this quick recipe and toast it to make a melty, delicious, portable snack.

Ingredients

• 2 pita pockets
• 2 slices honey ham, shredded
• 2 slices smoked turkey, shredded
• 2 roma tomatoes, sliced
• ¼ cup white cabbage, shredded
• ¼ cup red cabbage, shredded
• ¼ cup carrot, shredded
• 1 teaspoon deli-style mustard
• 8 bread and butter pickle chips
• 1 TSP butter
• Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

1. Preheat grill and griddle to medium-low, add butter as needed
2. Lightly butter inside and outside of pita pockets, toast for 30 seconds per side
3. Heat ham, turkey, cabbage, and carrots on grill for one minute
4. Layer with meat, veggies, tomatoes, and pickles
5. Add a pinch of salt and pepper
6. Place on grill for 1 minute per side or press for 1 minute
7. Squeeze or spread mustard in each pita pocket
8. Enjoy!
