This sauce can be served over any pasta. I also add meatballs and Italian sausage if you feel like meat. The sauce by itself is fantastic but my meatballs are also to die for!
6 garlic cloves
Large bunch Italian parsley
Large heaping handful of fresh basil
2 large onions
3 Tabl olive oil
three large cans of chopped can tomatoes
one large can of tomato puree
¼ cup of half and half
one Tabl of sugar
one teaspoon salt and ground pepper to taste
⅛ teaspoon red pepper flakes
2 teaspoon of sugar to cut the bitterness
Place the garlic, parsley, basil, onion in the Cuisinart. Saute them in olive oil on low until transparent. Add chopped tomatoes and puree, stir in salt, pepper, red pepper, sugar and cream. Stir and cook a good thirty minutes and the sauce is done.
