Simple, easy and delicious
Ingredients
1 16 oz. box spaghetti
1 28 oz. can crushed tomatoes (no salt added)
2 TBSP tomato paste
1 medium onion, chopped fine
4 cloves garlic, minced
1 lb ground turkey (97/3% fat blend)
olive oil
1 cup fresh basil, torn
½ cup cup freshly grated parmesan cheese (plus more for serving)
1 teaspoon dried oregano
½ teaspoon red pepper flakes
1 teaspoon sugar
zest of ½ lemon
sea salt
fresh cracked pepper

Instructions
Cook pasta according to package directions. While pasta is cooking being sauce in a large skillet. Heat oil, add onions. Cook for about 5 mins or until golden. season with a pinch of salt. Add garlic and tomato paste. Cook for another couple mins. Add turkey. Break turkey up with cooking spoon, to create smaller pieces for sauce. Cook until slightly brown and no longer pink.
Add all other ingredients except for cheese, lemon zest and basil.
Cover and cook for about 10 mins or until bubbly and thickened. Turn heat off. Using a pair of tongs combine pasta and sauce. Sprinkle with cheese, zest and basil. Combine well. Serve with a sprinkle of cheese and a drizzle of olive oil. :)
