Pellet Smoked Pecan Pie

4        tablespoons unsalted butter, melted

½       cup sugar

½       teaspoon kosher salt

3        large eggs

1        cup maple syrup

2        cups pecans, toasted

1        pre-baked pie dough

  1. Set Cuisinart Woodcreek pellet grill to 275°F
  2. In a medium bowl mix butter, sugar, and salt with hand mixer until smooth.
  3. Beat in the eggs and maple syrup and increase to medium-high until mixture is light and airy and all sugars are combined.
  4. Remove from heat and stir in pecans.
  5. Pour mixture into pie shell.
  6. Place pie in center of pellet grill.
  7. Bake for 50-60 minutes until pie sets. It will still be slightly soft.
  8. Cool on pie rack for at least 4 hours before serving.
