• 1 tbsp olive oil
• 1 17 oz box pastry dough, defrosted if frozen
• 1 red bell pepper, chopped
• 1 onion, chopped
• ¾ lb top sirloin steak
• 1/2 tsp salt, plus more for topping
• 1/2 tsp black pepper
• flour, as needed
• 1 cup cheddar cheese, shredded
• 1 egg, beaten

1. Preheat oven to 375.
2. Heat oil in a Cuisinart Chef's Classic Stainless 10” Skillet on medium high. Add peppers and onions and cook for 5 minutes or until tender.
3. Cut steak into thin slices using a Cuisinart 8” Chef’s Knife. Add steak slices to skillet and season with salt and pepper. Cook for 3 minutes or to desired wellness. Remove skillet from heat and set aside.
4. Lay dough out on a smooth surface that is dusted with flour. Cut the dough into 8 equal squares. Add a small amount of steak mixture to half of the squares. Top each with an equal amount of cheese. Lay the other half of squares over top and seal together with a fork.
5. Place pastries on a Cuisinart Easy Grip Nonstick Bakeware 17” Baking Sheet. Brush with egg and cut a small slits on top of each. Sprinkle with salt. Bake for 20 minutes until golden brown. Remove from oven and cut each in half.
