German Chocolate Macaroons

Ingredients

1 (14-ounce)can sweetened condensed milk
4 cups sweetened flaked coconut
1 cup chopped, toasted pecans
4 ounces bittersweet chocolate, roughly chopped


Instructions

In the top of a double boiler, cook condensed milk over med. heat until golden, approximately 1 hour. Preheat oven to 325 degrees, line a baking sheet with parchment paper. set aside. In a large bowl, combine condensed milk, coconut, pecans and vanilla, stirring well. Drop by tablespoonfuls onto prepared pan. Bake until lightly golden, approximately 16 minutes. Let cool on pan. In a small microwavable bowl, microwave chocolate in 30-second intervals until melted. Drizzle over macaroons. Let cool completely.
